You, Me and Tea is a social heritage project that explored the heritage of tea in NI and connections with China and India.

You, Me & Tea worked with community groups in Belfast, Coleraine, Derry/Londonderry and Glengormley. The most important part of the programme was bringing Chinese, Indian and indigenous communities together as participants, artists and volunteers to have a brew together and discuss all things tea related including:

• The origins and history of tea
• The connections with China and India
• Tea’s original journey to the Northern Ireland
• The story of past tea merchants and present tea suppliers

We also heard and recorded stories about rituals and traditions, Belfast dockers, tearooms and dances and much, much more.
