Sailortown Sessions

Celebrate the spirit of Sailortown with an afternoon of music, song, and storytelling in the unique surroundings of this historic dockside community. Sailortown Sessions brings together an exciting mix of performers, each offering their own distinctive sound while sharing the common threads of culture, place, and connection.

Cairde Community Choir – 2pm
A vibrant multicultural a cappella choir from Northern Ireland, led by singer, songwriter, and composer Siobhan Brown of soul band Manukahunney. Expect uplifting harmonies, soulful voices, and original arrangements that celebrate unity, community, and diversity.

Ludwig O’Neill – 3pm
Immerse yourself in the haunting beauty of folk-noir. Ludwig’s music weaves powerful storytelling with poetic lyrics, creating a raw and soulful soundtrack to a changing Belfast. Acoustic and deeply moving, his performance captures the heart and grit of the city.

Los Dramáticos – 4pm
End the afternoon with a joyful burst of Spanish and Latin American energy. Featuring Chilean virtuoso Victor and Irish flamenco master PaddyLos Dramáticos blend flamenco guitar, the Andean charango, and soaring vocals with humour and storytelling. Their 2025 show transports you straight to the sunlit streets of Granada and Valparaíso.

Shared Roots is part of the From Multiculturalism to Interculturalism led by ArtsEkta, Kabosh and Cairde na Cille under the Belfast Local Community Action Plan, supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
