The Flight of Souls

As darkness falls, the night air fills with rhythm, light, and shadow.

Aerial artists rise high above the crowd, twisting and soaring in a breathtaking display of strength and grace. Beneath them, the pulse of Indian dancers flows in perfect harmony with the thunderous heartbeat of live Dhol drummers, their movements summoning something otherworldly into the streets.

Part aerial rig, part dream — and part nightmare — this 35-minute spectacle transforms the city into a stage where the living and the departed seem to move together. Against a backdrop of firelight and smoke, bodies arc and spiral in the sky, creating fleeting visions of spirits ascending and shadows returning.

Born from a bold collaboration with Fidget Feet, VolkiDána and ArtsEkta, The Flight of Souls is fierce, fluid, and unforgettable — a spellbinding ritual of flight where cultures intertwine, traditions collide, and the boundary between this world and the next begins to blur.

The show will commence at 7pm and last for apprx 35 minutes. No tickets are required, just come along on the night. Under 16s must be accompanied by a guardian.
