Join us for a weekend celebrating the rich Victorian heritage of East Belfast through creativity, craft, and culture.
Inspired by the legacy of St Mark’s and the surrounding area — including nearby Craigavon House and Belmont Park — these events blend history, art, and hands-on experiences for all ages
Step into the elegance of the Victorian era as you create your own soy candle in a vintage teacup. This relaxing, fragrant craft is inspired by the Victorian love of tea culture, home décor, and the art of domestic refinement. Learn how the ritual of afternoon tea became a symbol of social grace and hospitality — and how candlelight played a role in creating the warm, inviting atmosphere of Victorian homes.
Shared Roots is part of the From Multiculturalism to Interculturalism led by ArtsEkta, Kabosh and Cairde na Cille under the Belfast Local Community Action Plan, supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
