Nisha wins Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award Image

The first Minorities Recognition Awards in Northern Ireland (MRANI), designed to celebrate and acknowledge professionals and businesses from diverse ethnic minority backgrounds, was held on October 7th at Stormont Hotel. Founder and CEO of ArtsEkta, Nisha Tandon OBE, was awarded the Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award for contribution to racial equality in Northern Ireland in a career spanning over three decades.

The event shines a spotlight on remarkable business owners and individuals who have shown exceptional dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within their communities, inspiring others to do the same.

Through showcasing success stories and highlighting best practices, the first Minorities Recognition Awards in Northern Ireland aims to ignite positive change, motivating organisations of all sizes and sectors to adopt diversity and create inclusive workplaces.

The event united influential leaders, business representatives, and diversity advocates who are devoted to advancing equality and promoting innovation through diversity.

Commenting on the award, Nisha said:

‘I was honoured to receive this award at the ingural Minorities Recognition Awards in Northern Ireland. We have come so far in embracing all communities who have made their home in this region, and I am delighted to have played a small role in that. I would like to dedicate this award to all those that have supported ArtsEkta over our 17 year history and look forward to continuing our ground breaking work to make this country a better place to work, live and visit’
