Sensory Journeys

Sensory Journeys is an inspiring arts and wellbeing project designed to connect older adults with the beauty of nature through sensory-rich creative experiences. Delivered by ArtsEkta in collaboration with Age NI, this unique initiative brings together visual art, sound therapy, and mindfulness to foster creativity, connection, and joy.

With a focus on hearing, touch, and sight, participants will engage in workshops that celebrate the natural world—crafting tactile art pieces, recording soothing soundscapes, and exploring sensory kits designed to bring the outdoors to life.

Through reminiscence, storytelling, and shared creativity, this project provides a supportive space for older individuals to express themselves, combat social isolation, and reconnect with their senses in a meaningful way.
