Día de los Muertos Crafts
Step into the colorful world of Dia de los Muertos creativity! Our craft workshops are a chance for families and festival-goers of all ages to get hands-on with the joyful traditions of the holiday. Surrounded by marigolds, papel picado, and festive music, you’ll make your own keepsakes inspired by the vibrant symbols of remembrance and celebration.
Day of the Dead Keychains
Take home a little piece of Día de los Muertos magic! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll design and decorate your own keychain inspired by the vibrant traditions of the holiday. Using bold colors, quirky patterns, and playful designs, you’ll create a miniature piece of artwork that’s both personal and portable. Whether you choose to fill your keychain with flowers, skull motifs, or swirling shapes, this is a chance to craft something meaningful you can carry with you every day.
Foam Skull Decorations
Bring the iconic Day of the Dead skulls to life in three dimensions with our foam decoration workshop. Participants will build their own skull design using layers of colorful foam pieces, experimenting with shapes, patterns, and textures. From dazzling floral crowns to glittering geometric designs, every skull becomes a unique work of art. This activity is as much about imagination as it is about tradition — blending playful creativity with the rich cultural symbolism of Día de los Muertos.
Day of the Dead Masks
Transform yourself into a character of the celebration by creating your own Día de los Muertos mask. Using vibrant paints, bold patterns, and decorative flourishes, you’ll design a mask that expresses joy, memory, and individuality. Add flowers, glitter, swirls, or striking geometric lines to bring your mask to life. When finished, you can wear your masterpiece proudly, display it as artwork, or use it as the perfect photo prop. It’s a creative experience that captures the beauty of both Halloween fun and the uplifting spirit of Día de los Muertos.
Papel Picado Workshop
Step into one of Mexico’s most cherished folk art traditions by learning how to make papel picado — the intricate tissue-paper banners that flutter at every Day of the Dead celebration. In this workshop, you’ll design and cut your own colorful patterns, layering bright paper into dazzling decorations. Whether you choose floral motifs, skulls, or abstract designs, your finished piece will be a festive keepsake that carries the essence of Día de los Muertos. Hung at home, your papel picado will become a joyful reminder of a holiday that celebrates memory, togetherness, and creativity.
