Join us for a weekend celebrating the rich Victorian heritage of the Old Park Carnegie Library in North Belfast through creativity, craft, and culture.
Celebrate Belfast’s distinctive skyline through the slow and satisfying craft of embroidery. In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, participants will create their own textile artwork inspired by the architecture and landmarks of the city.
Using simple stitches and guided templates, you’ll stitch recognisable shapes from Belfast’s skyline — from rooftops and church spires to the outline of Cave Hill and the city’s historic buildings. No previous sewing experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.
Shared Roots is part of the From Multiculturalism to Interculturalism led by ArtsEkta, Kabosh and Cairde na Cille under the Belfast Local Community Action Plan, supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
