Join us for a weekend celebrating the rich Victorian heritage of the Old Park Carnegie Library in North Belfast through creativity, craft, and culture.
Discover the power of print and create your own bold Victorian-style poster in this hands-on lino printing workshop. In Victorian Belfast, printed posters and pamphlets played an important role in sharing ideas about education, reform, and social change.
Participants will carve a small lino block featuring a symbolic image — such as a book, lamp of knowledge, architectural motif, or Belfast skyline — and combine it with vintage-style letter stamps to create a striking poster design. You’ll learn the basics of lino cut printmaking and leave with your own handmade print.
