Luminate is a visual arts project that worked with hundreds of young people to co-create a magical light installation.

Working in partnership with North Belfast Alternatives, Sudanese Youth Club, Extern, Ardoyne Youth Club and Duncairn Arts Centre, young participants shared their stories, their hopes and dreams for the future, and created large scale models of buildings from their local areas, Northern Ireland and around the world.

Facilitated by local visual artists, the sculptures were lit from the inside to create a magical city scape representing the diverse communities across the city and beyond. The installation was showcase at two events at CS Lewis Square in East Belfast and Springfield Dam Park in West Belfast.
